“When my brother and I arrived in this country, we always had a vision of starting our own business. We worked at several restaurants, doing maintenance, washing dishes, and delivering food. In 2007, we became partners and launched Super Pollo. We wanted to see how well our new venture would do with the diverse European and Latino cultures in Ridgewood. We started small with only ten tables, serving a variety of dishes, including our specialty chicken marinade. Everything has always been made from scratch with fresh ingredients. We offer family combos and even created our custom sangria. The Super Pollo green sauce is now mass-produced as it became a customer go-to. Over time, we expanded and opened a Super Pollo in Jamaica, NY. Our businesses have created many job opportunities for people throughout Queens. We have employees from Ecuador, Colombia, Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, and more. Our restaurants have become a dining place for people from different backgrounds, allowing us to bring a taste of Latin America to everyone. The quality and consistency of our food became our trademark, and people loved it.”
